I have a Dubrie Marine motor model AA 1591 in the crate from the factory. The motor is in factory condition pickled in oil. I would like to know what it is worth? Any one intrested in buying? Is there a source on the internet that can tell me more about the motor. My grandfather has the motor. He purchsed it in Detroit in the 40's.

More info this motor was originally purchased for Greenfield village (in Dearborn) - never made it there around 50 years ago.

the word I have heard is a whole bunch of these were found in a warehouse in Detroit, and they were then sold. Many were bought by people who were just interested in the Wico mag, but there are some still in the crate. Scholl machine shop has one, and I have seen it at a few of the shows. If it was mine, I would take it out, and put it in a boat. it has many model T parts.

I have heard of a few of these over the yrs, saw one for sale at an auction in North Carolina a few yrs back. the eng did look new but it also looked as if it had been installed in a boat and then removed for some reason ???

I have seen them out here on the west coast at swap meets also, still in the crate. The guy was asking $2000, Nobody showed the slightest interest at that price level. I had heard something about 50 or so of them found in a warehouse and sold out into the market just a few years ago. I have seen them on Ebay also. I would like to have one, but I can buy a running used motor for $500 a couple times a year. AS they go being 2 strokes they dont hold the high interest level

I one I threw in the scrap here was a four stroke with Model T valves, springs, timing gear, piston, rod etc. etc. Pretty good little engine for 1923. but "she did suffer a sea change into something red and strange"! ;-).
