My grandpa is in the process of acquiring a 6 hp Hamilton Motor Works Marine engine. It was Built by Hamilton Motor Works Ltd. Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Serial No. 1266 Model No. ? (the tag is blank in this spot), On the exhuast manifold it has HMW on it standing for the companies name. It has a 5 Ball Kingston Carb on it, the water pump and timer are there and it is a 2 stroke. My Grandpa is looking for any information available on this engine and also he would like to know how old it is and the rarity of it as well.

thanks for any replies

Hamilton was manufacturing marine engines by 1902, Canadian Co's did not advertise in US publications much in those days so info is limited.

By 1906-07 thru 1909-10 the engine was noted by the spur geared waterpump on the output shaft, a timer lever behind flywheel with a knob on top, and an angled manifold ?

Best I can do without a few photos !
