I picked this engine up today at a small show and dont know what I have. Its only 13" tall to the top of the head ( Which is headless and rounded )
takes a 1/2" spark plug - 1 1/8" face on the flywheel and 9 1/2" in Diam - It has 3 big holes in the middle that are 1 5/8" in Diam and 3 smaller holes that are 15/16" in Diam - on the back of the timer lever the # S28 and on the block behind the flywheel a mark with the letters
ICO and has a big F in the center of the "C" all
inside a circle. Very small and light. I have photos to e-mail if interested and thanks for any help! Shane

Shane e-mailed a few pictures of back and sides of this motor, there are no cast in mount flanges
on crankcase, and output shaft is square, no
visible provisions for a water pump. Leads me to
believe this is an old outboard motor. With carb
in position it is,it was probably converted to
vertical application as was sometimes done?
anyone recognize the flywheel??
Cool old motor!!

Th cylinder, water outlet, mixer and square drive look like a Caille Liberty drive, but the flywheel is not familiar. Does it have four holes on the back of the cylinder for a tank mount? J.B.

Could this be an engine for a water pump? ?

Looks to be a Ferro outboard power head to me but
I think the company had attachments for stationary and inboard use that the sold seperatly.
They usually had a magneto bolted to cylinder.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have a British Anzani series 161 engine that has been idle for some time. It starts now and again but only runs for a couple of seconds. It seems petrol has trouble getting through to spark plug. Any info greatly appreciated.
