Off the top of my head...
The 430 is and MEL family engine used in Lincolns and Mercs, also a few T Birds.
The 427 FE Family engine used in Fords. Both good engines, however little to nothing is interchangable between them.
If you have a place to store the 430's I would grab them.

hi my name is wayne, I read your questions about the 430 ford motors. I have 427's. What are you planning to do with the 427's.

Trust me, the 430s had a terrible water pump / overheating problem, plus parts are almost NON EXISTANT ! I own a 1963 36 foot aluminum Roamer since 1973 that had 283s and repowered with 454s-- BIG IMPROVEMENT.Contact www.alloyed2sea.com for Roamer club info. Also my site at www.chicagoyachtsman.com
