I'm working on a Chris Craft 327F (I think) with a cast iron base pan. Installation angle is about 16*. I took the engine out of the boat for repairs. The oil level was at the "full" mark on the dipstick, at installed angle, but when I pulled the drain plug I only got out 3 qts. of oil. I don't think this and the little bit in the filter and lines is enough to lube the motor properly. What do you all think. Thanks, Bob

If memory serves and it may not a 327 with a full aluminum pan holds 6+ quarts of oil.If it feeds the trans as in Paragon style than it will hold up to 8+ quarts.

Just my opinions
