I have an interest in learning about the Kahlenberg oil engines made in Two Rivers Wisconsin. I have contacted the company, and they do not have much to offer, as the engines have not been in production for many years. Does anyone know of a book, or have other information that would enlighten me on the design and features of these engines?

You can start by using the keyword search link on the left and enter the word Kahlenberg.

There is a lot of information and material on Kahlenberg, I'm not sure there are any books the cover only Kahlenberg , but they are mentioned in Stan Graysons ENGINES AFLOAT series.

I have various Kahlenberg catalogs as may other collectors do. Is there a particular model you are interested in?

Coolsprings had two, a 3 cylinder, sitting outside, and a running five. I will post pictures after I find out where I put them. I was offered the three cylinder to take home and restore, but it exceeded my trailer capacity by about 5000 pounds. I believe it was sold off, cheap. there are others around, too.

A very nice Kahlenberg at the Florida Flywheelers
Engine Club in Fort Meade Florida.

It came out of the first pilot boat, Miami Harbor.

Was running condition when donated a few yrs back.
