I have this Nordberg engine in my 1956 Century Coronado boat, and would very much like a parts source, and have been unable to locate one yet.Any information would be greatly appreciated. I was told Nordberg may have used a Hercules long block assy. and built it under the Nordberg name, but at this time I have not been able to verify this. Any ideas?

David,
Nordberg were indeed Hercules based. Yours was probably a JXLD. They were based in Milwaukee, WI.
When they went out of business they sold all there parts to Universal in Oshkosh, WI. I ended up with the Hercules parts and some books. Mostly internal rebuild type stuff. There is a flat pad on the block about halfway back on the starboard side where the block meets the head. Your Hercules designation will be stamped there. Contact me direct for parts.
