Here are some comments from a copy of the February 1911 Power Boat magazine about exhibtors from the Boston Boat show.

H.L.F.Trebert Engine Works, Rochester, NY
These engnes are suitable for all classes of boats ranging from a 30 ft. racer up to a 70 ft. cruiser. They are of the jump spark type with the cylinders cast in pairs and follow the automobile practice of having the flywheel aft alongside the clutch hanger.

B.F. Brown Gas Engine Co. Schenectady, NY
The Brown exhibit will be especially interesting to those interested in well designed and carefully constructed two-cycle motors. The twin screw outfit is something of an innovation, the engines being mounted on a single base with exhaust manifold right and left.

Anyone got a picture of a Brown engine or a Trebert with it rear mounted flywheel?
