| Need help - Honamag diesel engine |

I have recently been gifted my grandfather's old sailboat (he's deceased), and I know very little about boats. It has an inboard Honamag diesel engine which was distributed by Grey Marine. I cannot find anything on the internet about this engine. It was installed on the boat circa 1985-86, and I believe it was a used/rebuilt engine when it was put in. It cranks when you try to start it, so I think it may be worth fixing. However, since I cannot find any info anywhere on this model, I don't know if it's feasible since there may not be parts available. Any advice or does anyone have any knowledge of this type of engine? Please email me if you do! Thanks. |

Hello
Hanomag built a lot of different engines. If you show me pictures or give me some other info about the engine (e.g. type, if there is a plate on it) perhaps I can help you.

I am working on a Hanomag D962K that is in a Massey Ferguson bulldozer. I realize this is not marine oriented but perhaps someone can help me with cyl. head bolt torque & valve lash specs. |
