Do you still have the DV10 Bukh? Would you consider selling it?

i have a bukh 10 hp and i just blew a hole in the water jacket near the inlet of the water jacket, a bit of oil around inside of the inlet, the water was very hot when it happened, does anyone know what this means? is the cooling system blocked? and if so how to clear out?

Sorry mate but you need a new block.
Any motor that is salt water cooled will eventually
self destruct as the rust that forms inside the water galleries literally "hydralics the castings apart, the average life of a motor that is used infrequently is about 5 yrs >fresh water cooling with a heat exchanger is the only solution against
costly engine extraction and rebuild.Even though a fresh water cooled motor will cost more initialy
it will last forever with proper care and attention
