Gidday folks Drew here
Have just found your site. Just starting out.
Got an engine that needs rebuild-need to I.D it properly.
Its a 2cyl lister diesel water cooled marine engine 15hp B.S 649.Number 140SW2A26 mor
From what I see on patent sticker maybe 1967?
Need to find a manual or specs for engine.
Pistons are required (ring groove worn), gaskets, bearings etc.
Barrels have pitting in water chambers- is there a rule of thumb for determining usability?
Any assistance would be a great help,am a mechanic, boat motors I have not worked with before.
Cheers Drew Nth Queensland Aust

Hi Drew,
You do not say what model it is? most parts are available at a price! from Lister-Petter,+441453 544141, I think I would price up the parts and then decide weather it is worth it as against another unit in good condition, unless you love it of course, they do go on for ever it seems.

Regards Keith. Marine Engineer.
