hi Geoff
i brought an old yacht with a drofin m12 engine but the starter is missing . i live in brisbane austalia. the guy i brought the boat from said the previous owner had the starter rebuilt but the autoelecy charge him $600 so he told him to stick it so no starter motor. surely there should be a car or bike starter that can be fitted to it .

G'day Allcutup,
I'd thought I had sent this earlier but I couldn't find the reply. So here goes again.
The starter is a Ducellier 6187. I believe they were used in the Renault 5 & 10's. Lucas also have a replacement part no.LRA00611

Regards
kip

Looked at my spare - its been drowned at some time - there is no makers plate for reference. If desperate let me know, we can work out a price. I don't suppose I'll ever use my spare
