I have Sailboat with a Isuzu c240 Diesel engine and this transmission mounted behind it. Have included two pics and am trying to find out what type and model the tranny is to be able to study up on it, know its strengths and weaknesses and to gather spare parts for extended cruising. ThanksPictures TrannyTranny 2

That's a Hurth now part of ZF. Based on the C240's hp I'm gonna say a HBW100 now known as a ZF10M. Could be the smaller HBW50 but that would be somewhat underrated. Case length can help you ID it the HBW100 is 140mm long and the HBW50 is 115mm.

Cheers
Nobby

Much appreciated responses and I'll use the sister sight for future questions about this engine or tranny. Nobby you were hot on the trail with your guess that you didn't have a lot to go on, I discovered that the tranny is a Hurth 250-3r.
