Hi Bluesailus
I have a 4cyl peugeot diesel from early 70`s.
It`s lost oil pressure, but i can`t find anyone
with parts for it.
Not only that, but i have the original users manual in German, but can`t get a hit on the model.
The manual refers to 6 models from 4 to 6 cyl,
mine is X4M88S: X4 is nr of cyl. 88 is the cyl diameter.S is for the drive type in this case syncromatic Carl Hurth Munchen type 947.10.
The 5 other models are.
X4M90S-X4M90AL-X4M90A-X6M88AL-X688A.the A is for the other type transmission called Velvet.
The motor volume for the 6 engines is cubic cm:
1946-2112-2112-2112-2919-2919.
The problem is none of it has helped me sorce spares or further info.
My motorsailer is a "Spurt 25"built in Holland
Regards tony

It probably will be an XD 4.90 or XD 4.88. Might be called XDP as well. Has been built until 2003 by Mahindra. Parts can be found usually at normal autopart stores. The engine was used in the Peugeot 504/ J7, Ford Granada ( Engine Code WTA), Opel as well.

I have a custom built 25 ft w/ twin aqd21a and a aqd21b Volvo diesel 4 Cl engines which I keep in tip top condition.I would like to have a boat designer take a look at this design and see if it would be cost efficient to duplicate, market this design.

Hello please could anyone help, I need to put transmission fluid in my Peugeot engine. The manual says it needs Automatic transmission fluid Type A Suffix A but this no longer exists? What should I use instead? The front page is missing from the manual & I'm not certain which engine I have but I think it is the X4M90S because the previous owner has circled this code in the manual rather than any other the others. I have no idea what I'm doing so all help much appreciated!
