You might try the Antique Outboard Motor Club. There are many links to sources of used outboard parts www.aomci.org

I have a Johnson Sea Horse motor. Ser. 600567, (mod. T9 20, I think). It has a cork float which is bad. I replaced} it with one that I made. The problem is gas comes out the top of the float bowl. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM AND HOW CAN I CORRECT IT.

Here are a couple of thoughts:

Bad float setting? Check size/shape/geometry/floatiness of float. Repair or replace.

Crap in carb? Disassemble and clean carb, especially float valve and seat. Replace inline fuel filter.

Bad float valve or seat in the carb? Replace needle valve and seat if parts are available.

I have a 5hp tn-28 1952 Johnson Seahorse I am in the process of replacing the coils and would also like to replace the plug wires. Is there any place out there that sells replacement plug wires?

Thank You

I have a Johnson Seahorse 5 hp. Model #TN 27.
The cork float was bad so I had it resealed. Motor starts now but only on the fast setting and stalls rightaway. I have played with the jetting but nothing helps.
