Thanks Nick, much as tried looking there last week I couldn't see those dates.

Next question is nearby accommodation? 3 or 4 nights

Kev.

Lots of places to stay in the Mystic area. Be aware it is high season for tourists and nothing is cheap. Make your reservations as far in advance as possible.
Travel in this area is easy except for Sunday afternoon when you are heading west towards New York City.
If you have a rental car you can stay out of the area for a lot less. You can look as far west as East Lyme/Niantic, as far north as Norwich and as far east as Westerly Rode Island and still have an easy ride to the Seaport.

Go to the Seaport web page then go to visit then calendar and dig there. You will eventually find the whole year listed.

I dug in the Seaport web page calendar eventually found the date

August 2015
Antique Marine Engine Exposition
August 15 - 16

Contact me directly if you want. I used to live in Mystic.
Hope this helps
Ernie

Thank you Ernie for the infomation. A 20/30 minute drive will no problem at all. Looking on google maps I am yet to get my head around the distance between places. What looks miles away isn't that far at all.

I will look into the towns you mentioned for accommodation

Well were on our way soon, finalised our bookings, and will be in NY NY from the 4th of August for 6 days, and then travel about and get to Mystic for the engine exposition. Then another 10 days traveling afterwards. Looking forward to catching up with as many of you there.

Kevin
