Hello,i read dick Day`s article (http://216.147.55.68/history/Palmer/palmer_colors.htm)but i am confused, the paint chips i can get on the one i have are a light blue and also light blue on a second engine.....could some one give some insight here.
also this one is missing the gear that couples the crankshaft to the reverse gear what i need is a sketch showing the dia of the seal end and how many teeth in the gear and over all length thanks.....bob.......

Robert,
All the PW-27's I have seen have been green.

The only Post 1973 PW-27 I know of is Ser 44885-78. It belongs to Peter Zukoski in Easton, MD. His phone number is 410-822-9438. Why not call him and ask him what color his PW-27 is. We know that after 1973 when Palmer closed its doors that the PW-27 was one of the designs that were bought by Thermo Electron and there is some evidence that they painted their production a Ford blue as the blocks were made by Ford. I don't understand your comments regarding the correct gear for one of your engines. Perhaps you have a bob-tail engine and in order to convert it to meet the Paragon reverse gear you need the adapter ring that goes between the reverse gear and the engine and you need the crankshaft which fits the OXKB reverse gear. Perhaps you can give me a little better lead. Do you have the engine serial numbers?
