Need help with Ray Engine Information.
I don't know if this is the proper page to be asking these questions or not.
I would like some information on a single cylinder Ray marine engine.
On a plate on the side of the engine cast into it is Ray Motor Co., Detroit Michigan. On a brass strip bolted onto where the mag should be is L080 machine number and MR80 Type. The mag is missing and should have a shaft that goes into the engine housing.
The question is, what make and style is the mag supposed to be and also the make and style of the carb.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I know I waited until the last minute, but we are leaving for Portland Ind. on Friday AM and would like to know what to look for.
Thanking you in advance.
