This is a single cylinder 2 cycle Gray marine engine .I will post pictures tomorrow . I was wandering if this engine can be dated by the serial # 8098 . It has the flywheel with the gib key not the tapered shaft with the nut .Would anyone know were an exhaust manifold could be located . Thank you , Glen

Most Gray engines of that ear , had flanges that connected to the exhaust piping.
The hot cooling water outlet from the engine was usually directed into the piping close to where is leaves the engine.
Since the exhaust piping is specific to each boat and is almost always different, you can use your creative instinct to come up with a workable solution.
