I would like to change the intake manifold and carburetors to increase the HP on the 327 gray block. It's presently 195 hp--? cost and difficulty? Thanks Doc

I have the 4 bbl intake manifold for the 327 AMC Gray--can anyone suggest the type and CFM of the marine carburetor that can be used? Thanks

I"m not sure if this is what you need or not... but the according to the manuals the Gray 327 cid engines that used a 4-Bbl carb used a

CARTER Model "4GC" 4-Bbl. Downdraft Carburetor.

I have adjustment info, but not other specs for it.

I have changed intake manifold and carburetor on Gray 327(AMC Block) to convert it to 4 barrel with new holley 4 barrel downdraft. The distributor has no plate ID on it and I would like to convert to electronic ignition. The engine was originally 195 hp--how would I identify the distributor in order to get the correct ignitor kit?

Doc Joseph,
I am hunting for either a 2 barrel or 4 barrel downdraft intake (and carb). Are you selling the old intake? No side drafts please.

Steve
