Im in the process of getting ready to try starting my Gray 100 for the first time in 20 years. I inherited the boat/engine from my dad. He tells me that when he had the boat he had problems starting the engine at first. Its currently wired for 6 volts, at the end of his use he told me he used an 8 volt battery and never had a problem again. Is this a horrible idea?

Thanks for your thoughts,

Josh Lenhard
