Grant,

Oh, well then, you must be aware of Brigus. That's where I bought this engine two summers ago. I hauled it back with the big bits in the trunk of my car after I took it apart at my cousin's house in Harbour Grace in Conception Bay.

It was a long haul to Minnesota, but it made the journey without a hitch. Parts of it were in the front and rear seats with me. I had the stink of old grease traveling with me for 2,000 miles. Loved it.

I have a 5 Hp Atlantic, a 3 horsepower Acadia in mint condition ( 1961 I believe ).

The 5 horsepower Atlantic needs some work...she's a bit loose in places.

Also have the 8 Hp Acadia that I restored and that you saw on YouTube.

The plan is to build a boat that could accept any of these engines ( within reason ) by designing the engine mounts to serve them.

I know where Clarenville is, but haven't really been there, although I probably drove through it in about 1975 on a cross island jaunt from Port Aux Basques to Harbour Grace.

thats awesome, you need to post some more videos i would love to see your 5 atlantic, the 4 hp i got only got about 60 hours. had a little troble this summer she was'ent turning up like she should but come to find out it was the little brass washer in the airbox had broke i got a new one cut and she works fine. that engine will push my fiberglass boat over 10 kmh. if you ever come back this way let me know and i will take you out for a run.
