I am unable to start my P5 Stuart Turner engine.
I have had it running well recently, and it has been starting well even when cold or hot.
The timing is correct, I have tried new plugs just in case there was a problem with the plugs. There is fuel getting to the carb and petrol is feeding into the jet. The fuel comes out of the carb cover when the needle is depressed. The fuel must be getting drawn into the crankcase as fresh fuel is coming out of the crankcase drain plug.
However the spark plug appears to be dry! I have carried out a compression test which shows an 85lb reading. Could the piston rings have stuck!
I have now got severe back ache from trying to start the engine and would apreciate any advise other that throwing the engine over as a mooring weight!
