Just introducing myself to the forum. I live in East Anglia UK and have got four Stuart-Turner engines arriving soon. These are in various states of repair. One running and others not known about. I'm going to refurbish them for a freind. He has asked me if there are any specialist tools required. I'm new to these engines so couldn't answer. So I ask my learned freinds on this forum...are there any specialist tools required? I have quite a well stocked garage, but mainly for car/motorcycle engines. Also, if anyone knows of good reading matter for these engines, I'd be most grateful.

Thanks in anticipation, regards to all. Pete.

Try the search facility - took me 60 seconds to locate a posting by Aaron, viz....

You can download Stuart P55M Manual from this link: http://www.internalfire.com/manolm.php?manufact=64&S1=Select

Also, there are some specialised tools but depends on how far you go with the work on the engine eg extracting the crankpins on the crankshaft to replace the needle/roller bearings. The tools are shown in the back of thge manual in the spare parts listing - good luck.

Thanx Tim,
Just been to the link and registered, I'll start there. There are 2) P55 and 1) P66 engine(s) coming and 1, that has no info on it, but it's similar to the 55/66. More postings when they arrive. Sometime next week I hope.
Regards, Pete.
