Does anyone have any info on replacing the seal on the tranny output shaft on a graymarine 4-75? I believe it is a Paragon.

Try this. First remove the flange using a 3 jaw puller. Remove the 4 bolts holding the output shaft bearing and seal. If you are real lucky, the bearing will stay on the output shaft otherwise it will remain in the housing. You will have to remove it from the housing to replace the seal. Remove the seal. Check with NAPA for a seal sleave and seal kit. Usually the flange has a grove worn in it and by pressing a sleave on the flange you now have a new surface. Replace the gasket and reinstall the housing and then coat the seal and flange sleave with oil and intall the flange. Should work. If not check with Van Ness Engineering, Dave will also help and I think he also has the kits. Frank
