has anyone taken apart a Volvo MS reverse gear on an MD3B before. I have a small oil leak coming out the top not much and not enough to warrant filling up the oil level too often , once a season .
I want to know if I start unscrewing parts , does the thing spring apart or do parts misalign in a catostrophic way .
The parts seem to be available for seals , o rings and such but actually disassembling it without a manual seesm foolhardy , especially as it runs fine , its about tidying up the leak in case it will lead to other problems further in the gear.

thanks

Is the leak around the shifter?
