Have an old boat transmission. think its a borg-warner. manufacturer date 3-23-53, the following numbers are on the transmission. WE-71440-m 2/ 7204-m /E92733m. Came out of a 40 foot sailboat in 1976, was rebuilt, than sat around until now. My dad sold the boat uncomplete in 1986, without the transmission, will send pics to anyone who is interested. email adress is [email protected]

Post a picture of it and I probably will know what you got.

Borg Warner in Muncie Indiana did not start to build marine transmissions until 1955, The numbers you have are not like the early velvet drive numbers that I have seen.

The Transmission is a Chrysler off of an engine model Ace or Crown

Wanted 1to1 reverse gear to fit an operating 42 hp Van Blerck 4 cyl B4 gasoline engine approx. 450 rpm 1 1/2in shaft. This to replace a Paragon gear year of manufacture approx. 1911 Thanks
