Blue Jacket Twin 12 hp (I think?)
I have this engine in parts in my basment. Its been there for 20+ years. I packed vital parts (crank, cam, etc) in oil and grease back then. I am tired of looking at it and feeling guilty I never put it back together and am on the verge of taking it to the scrap yard. I even have the greasy manual. Am in S.F., CA. Anyone want it?

I would like to have it but the shipping from Ca. to Mi. would be prohibitive I am afraid. I currently own a running Blue Jacket Twin built in 1938.

Hello Steve,

I am interested in the motor, I have 3 custom made head gaskets for the Blue Jacket Twin. I had one in my 26ft. sailing sloop: MV Aquila built in North Vancouver by the Tom Taylor boat yards in 1939. My vessel has British Registry attached to it with listings of all the owners.
Halliday was the naval designer of the HiHo class sloop, Roede class sloop, and other numerous pleasure cruisers, and work boats.

If the motor has been claimed could you forward my contact info to see if they are interested in one or more of the gaskets.

best regards,

I would be interested in buying your Blue Jacket Twin's electric starter if it is still available.
