I have just purchased a Blaxland-Chapman Pup STX 3.5, with a model D carburettor

I was wondering if anyone could assist me in finding out more information or good web sites on:

put a different carburettor on it
buy a similar new carburettor
set it up differently so it works better
what the parts on it do ie: screws, spring,
what all the adjustment screws are (top and bottom)
Closest dealer to Melbourne

Regards Paul

Paul ........if you look in the archives you will find a very good posting by Ernie ,tells you all about your carburetor. The Austral model D is the same as the American Schebler . Sorry can't help re the nearest dealer to Melbourne . There was some one in NSW making repro parts .
I have some engine info ,maybe i can help .

Paul, Send me a mailing address and I will send you a paper on the Model D carburetor. Dave Reed sells replacement modern plastic floats that are better than the original cork floats.
