There is an engine for sale on eBay where there are several photos. Is it a Barber?

It's a Barber !

I'm willing to go out on a limb here and say that I don't think the waterpump, bracket, and plumbing is Barber ??

Here's another marine engine on EBay. 320544252894 Engine located in Stafford Springs, CT. When I first looked I thought it was a fire hydrant with a flywheel attached. Who manufactured this one. I'm guessing Notra Dame is the company that mfg the water pump not the engine? One thing is for sure the engine is not stuck, piston is out & laying on the table. This is a neat looking old marine engine. Wished I had it in my collection.

Oh, one more on Ebay 280516282465 Manufactured by Mianus. Engine located in ACUSHNET, MA

I am not sure I have seen a Flint Mi schebler before like the Notre Dame water pump motor. I am going to have to keep an eye out for them.

Bill did you see the photos of the Schebler I posted with the check valve? Look under carburetors.

Re: Mr. Schaller's comment on the Flint, Michigan Schebler. I have probably seen more than 100 Schebler D's over the past 7 years but only one with the Flint address. The rest of that carburetor was bronze but the bowl cover was aluminum, another first. Needless to say, the cover had some real serious corrosion issues and I think I tossed it (I can't find it anyway) and I used the rest of the carburetor for parts.

Be carefull on the Notre Dame
"from the shore line in CT"
That is salt water
I wouild definatly want to see in the water jacket where the pump bolts on and in the water outlet. Also what is up with all the new brass bolts not that they are a problem but they most likely aren't original.
