I aquired this diesel engine and gearbox but unfortunately the identification plate is unreadable. There are numbers stamped on the engine . They are DM 55006 7DM and underneath DM 284 HI or H1. Would appreciate help in identifying it. Many thanks.

DM, seems to be a number for a Ducati motor.
But what do I know.

Is that a chain coupling on the drive shaft?

Whole engine, including transmission, running and complete manual. Used to be mine but I know who has it now. Located in N. Florida.
I entered my email address to post this but not sure if it will be visible.
