Evinrude big twin electric start where are the serial and models numbers located?
I was told it was a 30 hp, but everything I have been told so far is a lie!

Usually on the side of the transom bracket.
If it has gone, then the model number is stamped on the core plug.

On that model the ID plate is riveted to the centre of the swivel bracket and will be on the front and dead centre of the two transom clamp screws. The welch plug which has the numbers is on the starboard side of the powerhead and is towards the rear of the powerhead just in front of the head gasket line. That motor looks like a 56 model and if the script on the side says Big Twin it is 30 horse power.IN 57 and 58 they were rated at 35 horse. Jim
