Was told this is a starting engine for a diesel powered (transfer?) pump on a Mississippi River tow boat. Does anyone recognize the logo on the head or the block? Had to struggle to come up with a pic of the logo on the block -- should have gotten a pic before the engine went back together.
Engine owned by Bill Ettling, Jackson, MO.

i believe that is the casting logo of the company that did castings 4 briggs stratton. maybe thats a state of wisconsin manufacturer built engine? maybe even a wisconsin engine?
