Anybody ever heard of these> It isn't the Simplex Marine in operation today, it's for the Blue Flame Six which would place it in the 50's? They have no record of ever making one. I know somebody who has a valve cover. Did they make replacement heads, conversions or accessories? ANYBODY KNOW?
Thanks!

Dave Dunbar has most likely forgotten more than most of us will ever know about these engines.
In automotive trim he most likely has every flavor known to mankind.
You can contact him from here. There are some recent posts by him so just click on his name for e-mail

As an aside I grew up around boats and can't ever remember seeing one of these in a boat. I am sure I would have remembered as my fist vehicles were late 40s and early 50s Chevys with the Blue Flame 6 engine.

Hope this helps
Ernie

Thanks Ernie, but I can't find Dave's e mail or posts. Guess I can't navigate this site yet! If you can please forward the pic and question to him. I HATE mysteries that don't get solved! Thanks again.

Gary,
The 2 hole rocker cover is '53 or older originally. Some guys have later engines and use the early cover. Interesting research. Please post info that surfaces. David

Here's an update...sort of/
The manifold matches the valve cover, nobody knows a thing about them except they are apparently Canadian.
THANKS TO DAVID DUNBAR for his efforts! IF anything ever turns up, I'll post it here!
