This is the 3rd engine of 4 I need info on, the first 2 are in the unknown engine section. I think the sign on this one has the incorrect date of manufacture. What is the correct date?

Thanks T R

After searching through many magazines I have narrowed the date down a little but it is still not confirmed. Some of the info found includes an announcement in the 1909 May 'Rudder' by Ferro about the release of there new reversing gear that looks like the one pictured. An enclosed version of the gear was introduced in 1912. An add in the 1911 'Pacific Motor Boat' has a very nice color pic showing a 2 cylinder Ferro with a different type carb than ours (also it has a vertical mount flange on the manifold ours is horizontal). All of the 1910 adds are about a boat running across the river in the rapids below Niagara falls and do not show the engine. I have not found any Ferro motor adds before 1910.

My conclusion is our motor is a 1909 or 1910. If anybody can confirm my guess with a catalog picture or something it would be great.

Thanks TR
