Over the past couple of weeks, I made an ignition box for my DisPro using the automotive relay and converntional ignition coild .
I installed it in my DisPro and WOW , did it ever make a difference.
I thought that I had a good coil and over the past several seasons had fussed with the 4 ball Kingston carb, thinking that the alchohol on the gasoline was affecting the float.
Well, guess what?.
All the carb issues disappeared wiht the new ignition - corroborating what I've said before - 80% of carb issues are ignition.
Live and learn.

A rule of thumb among shadetree mechanics back in the days when cars had ignition systems with points was that 90% of engine problems were in the ignition. That rule served me well for decades.
