| What is correct carb for Caille? |

a friend just got a 1913/1914 1.5 hp Caille inboard. it is missing the carb and water pump. any body know what is the right carb for this engine? It has a 3/4 inch NPT intake |

In my opinion any of the following including their knock offs is appropriate, Most makers would supply a carburetor specified by the customer or in other cases individual owners tried different carburetors trying to get better gas consumption or more speed. Of course they realy didn't succeed as the carburetors of the time all worked about the same. The most common was the Schebler Model D. Others that were popular and different for example were the Kingston 5 ball and Krice. Monarch, Michigan Wheel, Acorn all made what amounted to be Schebler Model D knock offs. |

Schebler carburetor. If you want one here is a
name and number for a persone who has a couple.
The Scheblers from my experience are becoming
increasingly difficult to find and expensive.
The fellow who has a a couple is Harry Williams.
He is willing to sell both his 1" and 3/4"
carbs. I just recently got a 1" Schebler from him. He can be contacted at 250-746-0167.
