This came in from the curator of the Herreshoff Marine Museum:

Quote:

At the Herreshoff Marine Museum in Bristol, RI we have a fully restored Fishers Island 31 built by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company in 1930. The boat is an inside exhibit which visitors can go on board to experience how she looked on the day she was first commissioned. We are looking for the original engine to include in the exhibit. The information from the original sales brochure for the boats specifies a "Red Wing 10-14 hp, 4 cylinder gasoline engine".

We would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide in helping us to find one.

Regards,
John Palmieri
Curator

Am looking for a starter motor (and probably other parts too) for a 1939 Red Wing Thorobred 4 cylinder gas engine. The smaller one - I believe it is 7HP. Any advice welcome.

Many thanks, Duncan
