Yoda,

I have a number of the Acadia catalogs and parts lists. Tell me what the Acadia 15-45 is and I will take a look.

Regards,
Andrew

Yoda -

A search thru my collection of Acadia literature shows a Model HIXB 4 cylinder engine rated from 15 to 45 HP, 900 to 2800 RPM. The engine used a Hercules IXB block hence the name.

Could this be your engine?

Hi,

I have a 5hp Acadia in my 20' motorboat.

There is a crack at the back of the water jacket and water seeps out when she's running, not a lot, just enough to put off a little steam.

Is it safe to run the engine like this, it still runs perfect and gets lots of water.
Also, can I get the crack welded?

Hoping to hear from you soon.
