Does anyone know what this part is for? Or named? It is from The Standard Co., Torrington, CT. About the size of a normal spark plug. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

It says "Breech-Block" on the piece, but I'd like to know what it goes to. I can't seem to find any info on Breech-Block. Thanks.

From the 7/8" X 18 thread size I think it is one of the WWI/early 1920s spark plugs you could instantly pull out the porcelain and clean it of oil/carbon. Seems to me I have seen a catalog entry advertizing this spark plug. Maybe I am fantizing at my age who knows.
