I find it hard to believe oyster shucking has a large following, as far as the engines, im sure they are in a whare house somewhere, Lets just hoped they moved them to a better place, If stored away there isnt much reason for me to fly out there, Oyster shucking doesnt do anything for me

You can bet I will and I will let you all know just what is going on. PRAD is this weekend and weather looks ominous but all the big engines are loaded on the lo-boy and I hope we get a break in the weather.

Welcome to the world of modern museums. Unlike the old style museums (such as in Catcher in the Rye) where displays were left intact for decades on end the modern style is to rotate displays every three or so years. I guess the inboard display has been rotated into the storage shed. This program is intended to keep the museum displays and interest fresh. I'm sure the inboard engines will be back in a few years

The inboards downstairs should be ok its the lighter outboards that were upstairs. I have been telling all the oliver tractor collectors to go to CMM if they want to see oliver outboards, now i hope they don't come. The last fellow i was talking to asked where the museum was and i said in solomons. This guy says o yea i know where that is i went to the opening of the Tiki bar,i didn't know they had a museum there.

Seems to me they moved most of the outboards upstairs down stairs. All the inboards are where they have been for the last I guess 10 years. Didn't get to see any of my spies on the staff so cannot tell you what is in the works. I very much doubt it is to get rid of the Outboards that is for sure. I think a few of them may have been on loan from the Chesapeake Bay outbord motor people.

Great news, appearantly you went over there in all the bad weather. I got 3+ inches of rain and could not get to my dock as the land up to it was all underwater.

Larry, We didn't take any engines over today. WX too miserable. Small crowd. Plan to take a few small engines over tomorrow for the day.
We got a couple of inches of rain but not a lot of wind. Sure ruined the weekend.

Sunday Oct. 10 the weather was perfect and we tood a few engines to Patuxent River Appeciation Day. Bill Fiege and his family arrived with their 1922 YT-1. Richard Younger brought his ca 1946 ZR-1 and a number of outboards mounted on a trailer. I have attached a couple of photos that will give you an idea of the set up. Planning is going forward for the spring show. As soon as I get a date I will pass it on.

The permanent engine collection is unchanged and will not be removed. The outboards owned by others on loan up on the balcony have been moved downstairs to their permanent location or returned in some cases to their owners. So nothing to worry about in that regard.

Seemed I have not learned the system yet. Goes with the age group I expect.
