Pat Spurlock has posted a interesting trophy on ebay.

Quote:

This silver medal is inscribed "1908 International World's Championship Won by 'DIXIE II' Owner Ed. J. Schroeder," .... Above the sun rays is "Incorporated," below her feet is "1904." Outside a corded rule are the words "National Association of Engine & Boat Manufacturers."

This is the 1908 engine in Dixie II.
Looks like our modern big V/8 racing engs, they were definately way ahead of their time.
