Jamie just got his second and third Eclipse, all have spark plugs, appear to have been converted. The ignitor bodies are in several of them, stripped and plugged. Does anyone have an ignitor fired engine we can get pics of the ignitor system? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What a funny looking base; almost unique in a small marine engine. Where are the holes for the lag bolts? |

We assumed this was a stationary version of the engine with the fuel tank in the base, the ad shows it as a marine engine. |

* J.B. Went through all my Eclipse photos, ads etc and couldn't find any igniter info ! The Co. was founded in 1899 as "Eclipse Motor & Boat Company"' 1903 name changed to " Eclipse Motor Company" and the stationary looking crankcase was mfgrd 1899 to 1905. Your engine tag says Eclipse Motor Co. so it dates 1903 to 1905 ! Not a lot of these old timers around, unique Old Marine Engines. * |

Thanks Richard, these are Jamie's, he's had one for a while, picked up 2 more recently. He may make one a piston trip ignitor until better info comes along. |
