Detroit marine engine listed on EBay # 320490504328. Looks like a complete engine with exception of the muffler. Probably about a 2 or 3hp. Will be interesting to see if it sells for the starting bid price or higher. I do not think it will, but I could be wrong. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320490504328&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Well I guess I was wrong! There was only one bid on the Detroit and it sold for $750. Just goes to show you never know exactly what these old engines will go for sometimes. By the way in case you did not notice this engine was posted on the forum a while back. See link below. http://www.oldmarineengine.com/discus/messages/3454/109117.html One more point about Detroit marine engines I would like to bring up is the color of this engine. This is about the third or fourth engine I have seen including one that I owned that appears to have been painted silver originally. Anyone else notice this on the Detroit's? |
