Marvels of the internet. I have been directed to this discusssion board to get some information. I look for antique race engines. A fellow down the road was cleaning out a barn and found this small 4 cylinder engine, it is marked Universal Model C on the data tag. It is kind of neat with the oil cups on top of the head. I'm just trying to figure out what the heck this thing is and I found this web site. Can anybody tell me what I have? Thanks Dick |

Dick, Put Universal Engine Company in the Google search engine. You will find a site that gives the complete history of Universal including chronological listings of their models including the Model C with pictures. Model C is from the teens. Does it have the hand crank chain driven starter at the back of the engine. Does it have the Ricardo Head?? |
