very good quality engine,fairly common,(a great many made)reputedly designed partly by MRS Thornycroft (no"e" in Thornycroft by the way)cos she wanted an engine that a woman could start.plenty still in use.(had a letter recently from a guy in oz who found one in a tree!!?)technical info available from me.How much do you want for it?

What sort of technical info do you have Sean? I'd be glad to get any. I'm on the other side of the planet so selling is a mute point! Do you know if any parts are available in the UK? Thornycroft in whatever form they are now, say they have nothing, not even manuals.

hello neville im writing to you on behalf of my father he has just bought a thorneycroft handybilly petrol/parrafin engine it has,nt been started since 1951 and we was wondering if you had a manual and spare parts the parts we require are 2 valves the mag coupling on the engine aswell as the mag also the four cutters that hold the springs onto the valves it was in the 1951 kent floods thats why some bits are missing cause it was stripped and lost if possible can you ring us on 07984 801603 or email me on [email protected] we live in canterbury kent ps the model we have is a db2

hello I need some help I wrote to Neville bond in 2005 about my father buying a handybilly well he has totally done the engine up and was taking it to shows well my dad died suddenly on 17-02-2014 well we want to sell it now as I don't know how to start it but we not sure how much to sell it for the model is a db2 and help would be appreciated you can ring me on 07401726924 cheers gary stankovitch
