Been working on a flat top Tuttle and several questions have arisen. The original head was cored for water circulation. I'm thinking of making the missing head on my engine a hot head: do you for see a problem in doing so? Also, water circulation is into the exhaust manifold with a gate valve as an option to direct it away from the exhaust manifold. Is there a reason to have the water exit thru the exhaust? exiting the coolking water through the exhaust is a good way to reduce the noise of the exhaust, plus it also cools the whole exhaust system.
Without the cooling water going to the exhaust system, it will become very very hot - not a good thing in a small boat.
At shows, there's a good risk of getting a bad burn. |
