I was going to use one in the fantail launch, but decided that it took too much room in the boat with the engine being too far forward.
.
The oily one is in running condition .

The other is seized from sitting but it is all there.

I expect that they would be able to handle up to an 8 HP old marine engine. In forward mode, the whole thing turns and none of the internal gears are turning.

I'm planning to get to Mystic in August this year, so I could bring it there and maybe some one could take it on further if needed.

The reversing ring looks to be bronze or brass
It should shine up really nice.

One of the transmissions ( the seized one) has now been spoken for.
So I'll only be taking the functional one to Mystic.

The Geis gear is now spoken for and will be going to California to serve in a really nice small wooden boat powered by a Roberts twin.
