Nice find !

Four different company names built The Parker marine engines in Fulton New York, each for only a few years duration. I don't have a photo ad or article specific to Emeny ! I'll look again Have had some new old material come in.

Late 1940's and 1950 I spent time in the summer with my grandmother in Mexico New York and I would ride with her in a big old black Nash sedan down to Fulton once a week, that car had the biggest set of fog lamps i've ever seen, you couldn't make the trip in early mornings without them, a cool old town then on the Oswego river !

Keith
After looking at my notes on Parker in Fulton NY
I'm finding that I need to spend some time sorting these Companies out and finding out the specific years that each mfgrd these engines, the engines did change in design and I always wondered if the basic engines were bought from a larger mfgr like Barber or tuttle etc ?
The first ad I find J.J.Parker is Jan 1904 so they existed in 1903 maybe earlier ? last ad I find for J.J.P. is 1907.

1905

List of Parker Co's.names in fulton New York .
I do not know the chronological order as yet, I'll search for info !

1. J.J.Parker- trade name :Parker" 1903-1907 ca

2.Dutcher Machine Co. trade name "New Parker"

3.G.J.Emeny trade name "The New Parker"

4, Yonker Manufacturing Company trade name "Parker Marine"

If anyone has any info on these Companies or photos of engines

Richard,
I suppose it's possible, but the JJ Parker is pretty unique in the adjustable side shaft igniter timing. The style does have resemblance to Barber and Tuttle. Cross trained employees?

Scott, The J.J.Parkers are different engines Than the New Parkers. I discovered that G.J. Emeny was a furnace mfgr at the turn of the century in Fulton. still no ads found and I have covered a lot of info !
This is my few Emeny file photos

Scott, The engine has the wrong flywheel, but other than that appears to be original. If I had the dimensions for the flywheel, making one would be no problem.

Amazing crankcase built from sections,,, & THAT type ignition on a multi cylinder is new to me! Any idea what prop, revs & boat size it is designed for?
