Sorry if this has been covered, but: Are there any vintage marine engine repair, maintenance and / or restoration services out there that you guys & gals could recommend?
Thanks for your time and information. Nice to be here and all the best.

A little more information would be helpful. Where are you located, what type of engine do you have.
Hmmm,.... Working on them is half the fun.
If you have something like a four or six cylinder Chris Craft, Graymarine, Chrysler or a high end multi cylinder engine a highly regarded guy is David VanNess (VanNess engineering) in N.J.

I need to agree 100% with the first part of what Ned stated. It really all depends upon what you have for an engine and what it needs as well as where you are located. Your location, engine age, and make will also determine what shops out there are good for your needs and more importantly, who is qualified to meet your needs.
There are shops out there that specialize and thus may or may not be best for your needs.
Ask around about different shops and get multiple recommendations.
I also agree that a lot of the fun is doing it yourself. But it all depends on how difficult or exotic an engine may or may not be. There are a LOT of people on this board that have decades of experience in all sorts and types of engines. Just ask some more.
